01 — Overview
Overview
If your problem is that you do not hold a PMP certificate, this course is not for you — and it will not give you one. If you want it because your projects run late and over budget, the certificate will not fix that, and what does is far smaller and much closer to hand.
The method taught in large organisations assumes roles and documents that do not exist in a twenty-person company. What is here is the minimum that actually works: a written result, a decision owner by name, tasks with an owner and a date, a written definition of “done,” and a short weekly meeting.
Five things — and anything added on top has to justify itself. No software, no methodology, no project office.
02 — What you will learn
What you will learn
Separating projects from operations — and why each needs different tools
The four real causes of delay, three of which sit in your court
A one-page project charter: result, decision owner, scope, success criteria
Breaking work into one-to-three-day tasks, each with a testable “done”
Estimating with three numbers, and a visible buffer instead of hidden cushions
Dependencies and the critical path — in a spreadsheet, not specialist software
A risk log that gets reviewed in five minutes a week, with triggers that force action
A half-hour weekly meeting, a five-line status report, and how to close a project properly

06 — Questions, answered
Questions, answered
Does this replace a PMP certificate?
No, and it says so on its first page. If a job posting asks for PMP, go and get PMP — this course will not give it to you. It exists for the different problem of projects that run late in a small company, which a certificate does not solve.
Do I need to buy project management software?
No. The course shows what is enough at each size, and for most small companies a spreadsheet covers it entirely. A tool does not solve a management problem — a team with no definition of “done” will move the same chaos into prettier software.
What do I walk away with?
A written plan for a real project of your own: charter, deliverables and tasks, estimates, schedule with the critical path marked, a risk log, a follow-up system, and a closing plan — plus a seventeen-line checklist to run before you start.
How do I pay and get access?
